Landmark Graduates in Manila, the Philippines.

Jason Lunas

Taking Care of What Really Matters through the Landmark Assisting Program.

Before I did the Landmark Forum, life was not bad at all. I was proud of my numerous accomplishments; I knew I was successful, and for sure I had made it on my own. As with many other ordinary, healthy, well adjusted and successful people – from time to time a question did appear, “is this all there is to life?”

Before the Landmark Forum, I really thought I had a very good life – a life that I had measured in terms of material things, my own skills, how many countries I’ve been and how much money I made. I thought I was happy, but deep inside I felt something was really missing.

As I heard about the Landmark Forum I began to look deeper and discovered that probably my relationship did not work as it could be. I was detached from my wife, my family, my friends and even people who I worked with day to day. I was putting on a fake smile as I tried to survive life and used people for my own goals. I was doing well in life – but I was resigned, stressed, and uninspired.

The Landmark Forum completely altered the way I looked at life, people, relationships and myself – and literally gave me the power to reinvent myself moment to moment! My favorite breakthrough that I have since accomplished was in the area of effectiveness in relating to other people.

During the Landmark Forum I witnessed something remarkable as one person after another began to tell what was so about them and began to reinvent what could be for their lives instead. I have never before heard people being so honest and true in my life. It gave me the courage for myself to go beyond the surface and confronted the fact that what I called relationship was only a gesture. That in fact I had no relationship at all! In spite of all the agreements and how good it looked from the outside.

Having discovered this, what used to be a blind spot for me; allowed me to reinvent my self and my life. In my Landmark Forum I took a stand for love. At that moment I was again present to how much I love my wife and my family in a way that was never accessible to me up to that point. I got my family back, and I got what it means to love and accept anyone. One by one I powerfully connected with people, and that allowed for results both in my personal and professional life to show up. Only then I began to understand why people were so enthusiastic about the Landmark Forum!

If one has discovered what really matters to one’ life – it follows that one would do what ever to nourish it. For me the Landmark Assisting Program is the tool to be unstoppable. It is an opportunity to master the rare skill of living inspired life for myself as I overcome the challenges to fulfill the possibility I have invented. I get to empower and inspire people to see their own greatness!! In fact, the way I see it, Landmark is assisting me – not the other way around.

As one of the people who assist in Manila, each new person I meet became the start of big things – a new business, a foundation to empower the nation, a new organization to lead, or a new way to contribute to the education of children around the Philippines. Around me, people get that they are extraordinary and that they are great leaders. Around me, people get that they are limitless and that they can have extraordinary lives that work!

Literally, for me, every moment at the Landmark Assisting Program is an opportunity to see what is possible when the world is transformed – a sneak peak of the future of this nation, the Philippines, before it even happens – and while I’m at it, I get to be with amazing, powerful, and committed individuals who contribute to me in each and every step. Then there was a bonus: the profound experience of being the cause of someone else’s transformation!!! This is what I love about this education!!!

If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for a passionate sense of what might be, for the eye, which ever young and ardent sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating as possibility! Søren Kierkegaard.
