The possibility of
I took the
Communication Course in the early 80’s and created the possibility of
being a winner. I am a graphic designer and at that time enrolled our company to enter
the contest to design the logo for the Soccer World Championship that was scheduled
in Mexico City. I picked the design, a chili. Most of my co-workers were very skeptical. They said it was a real difficult contest to win. That we were in competition against the best designers, and that it was impossible to win that contest, and it went on. I listened and I let them know that I heard them. Then I spoke from the possibility of being a winner. It was one of the most difficult things I have ever done, to generate a possibility in the office everyday and in the midst of all the arguments against it. Then one
morning a boy messenger appeared in our office. He gave us the message,
and it was the announcement that our design had won! And we got the check! From
that moment I got clear about how to use the distinctions from Landmark
Education. About how to enroll others into a possibility - and everyone
around me learned about the power of a possibility! It used
to be whenever I thought of relationship, I thought of what a great
marriage my father and mother have. I kept thinking to myself, I would
never, ever, find someone to have that kind of marriage! In the Landmark
Forum, I distinguished that this was one of my “stories”. I discovered
then how these familiar thoughts had served me well as an exit door to
prevent me from ever being committed to anybody in a relationship. The Landmark Forum gives me the ability to distinguish something - to take something from an undifferentiated background and bring it to the foreground. In so doing, it gives me a new facility to address issues in the area of relationship that formerly were inaccessible to me. Today I
am happily married to Octavio
Romero Gill. We create our relationship as the possibility of
Communication and Eternal Love. Octavio was a widower who made me a proud
mother of my stepson Gerardo Romero and stepdaughter Ana Laura.
That’s
why I love Landmark Education de México,
without access to this support I could have not achieved the beautiful and
authentic family that we are. Gerardo,
my son, is also in the Assisting Program with Landmark Education de México.
As a family, we are in communication with and trust each other. We
have problems and disagreements just like any other families. We get angry
as everybody else, but each of us recognizes his or her own
responsibility. Responsibility as we distinguished it in the technology of
the Landmark Forum, and it is very easy to continue being in love.
