Transforming the past
for the fun and pleasure of today.
Jennie Koo
When I grew up, my parents wanted to have the best for me. As a
child I used to practice playing violin and entered many intense
competitions. I was considered a child prodigy and well known. I won many
great awards but also failed to win some of them.
Somewhere along the way, as I grew up, I lost my love to play. I was left
with remembering the tragic losses I had. Contrary to all good intentions, I
had to live with all the anxiety and the fear of failing again. Before the
Landmark Forum, I did not do many of the things I really wanted to do
because of this fear.
The Landmark Forum is well known for its effectiveness not only in the
United States, but also in many countries around the world. In many surveys
conducted independently from the company, professionals are surprised and
impressed to find out that the graduates described it as "One of life's most
rewarding experiences." In fact, more than 90% of participants report that
they received, "practical and enduring value.”
Of course we, the Landmark graduates, are quite pleased, if somewhat amused,
to notice when these great people find out what we have discovered first hand in
various examples in our own lives. I am one of the many graduates who are so
excited, so moved, and look forward to have many of my relatives and friends
to do the Landmark Forum in Seoul. I am so grateful to all of you who have
contributed to this great effort.
The Landmark Forum gave me the tools to deal with my anxiety and all kinds
of fears and restored my eagerness to play again. I was able to distinguish
many of the incidents in my past and leave them there and move on.
One direct result of this, for many years I have been playing violin for one
of the world’s most prestigious orchestra. We play regularly at the
Lincoln Center for Performing Arts in Manhattan, New York. I have regained the
freedom to enjoy my passion again
How does the methodology of
Landmark Education benefit me as a musician? I
remembered one evening when I performed in front of 25 people in a private
performance. I was fully in my element. I was completely calm and grounded.
I naturally gave all of myself with fun and pleasure to perform.
The audience loved it and they said things like, “Jennie, we thank God for
you and for your great talent." And I thanked the Landmark Education and
especially the Landmark Seminar Program. While I was born with a special
talent, the education from Landmark gave me the ability to use it to make a
difference for myself and others.
What I love about Landmark Education is the high level of integrity that is
present in all aspects of its undertaking. Over the years I have been
consistently impressed again and again, by how Landmark Education never
stops to grow and reinvents itself as a world class organization, constantly
reaching for the best thing possible in giving its delightful services to
the transformation of humanity.”
