Landmark Forum in India: Mumbai. Madhu

| I was introduced by my
colleague and did the Landmark Forum in September 1996. I used to blame
others for what I don’t like about my life. I had to give that one up as
I looked for what else was possible when I registered for the Landmark
Forum. I have always been very close with my elder
sister, Sunita; I chat with her freely and share anything happening in my
life. There is a lot of freedom and fun in the relationship. Before the
Landmark Forum it was different with my twin sister, Suma. I would not
talk with her much though we did not have any problems. I never
experienced the closeness with her as I have with Sunita. Some of
my relatives even wondered why we were not as close as twins usually are. Although I was interested in getting a
breakthrough in my communication skill, self-expression and ability to
relate with people, I was not looking to having a breakthrough in
relationship because I felt that things were really okay. Yet when the Landmark
Forum Leader spoke about relationships, something happened. I realized
then what was stopping me from relating freely with Suma, my twin
sister. Suddenly I saw that for years I had been
persistently complaining about Suma. That she was very stubborn, too
proud and did not express herself. Whenever I asked her something, mostly
she only nodded instead of verbally responding. She did not behave the way
I wanted her to. That second day in the Landmark Forum I saw for the first
time what it had cost me in being right and making her wrong. There was no
love present and the gap between us kept widening over the years. I had
lost her because I had been so sure about it all. It felt awful to see it. When I reached home that night, I found that Suma was down with malaria and sleeping. The next day she had to be
admitted to hospital as she became weak and was put on saline. I was
sitting near her bed and wanted to apologize to her. I was afraid. Finally
I just told her what I had seen and said, "I am sorry I have been
thinking about you this way all these years and I am sorry if I hurt you.
I promise now I like you just the way you are." Her face just lightened up and she said, "Oh! This is what you got from the Landmark Forum?” I said, "I got a lot other things, but this is what has touched me deeply." She smiled. That day I got my twin sister back in my life. Our relationship has been profound ever since. It is an amazing and lasting breakthrough that I treasure. It was unforeseen before I did the Landmark Forum.
What I love about my community of Landmark Forum Graduates is their passion and commitment to the work of Landmark Education. Mumbai is a very happening place with Landmark Education and otherwise. It is a vast city where people fill the roads and commute long distances, even by sea for some. The Landmark Forum Graduates in
Mumbai are unstoppable. They brave the jam-packed local trains, summer
heat, and harsh rains after a hard day at work and travel miles to assist
at the Mumbai Centre and venues. Mumbai in India is like New York City in
USA, a fast moving city, and a city of opportunities. I am a Communicator and Team Leader in the Registration Fulfillment Department at the Landmark Education Mumbai Centre. What I love about assisting: it is an access to create new possibilities in my life ongoingly. It gives me an opportunity to contribute and make a difference to people's lives. In the Landmark Education Assisting Programme I am in contact with people who really care for people and it keeps this work alive in my life. Landmark

![]() I am a Corporate Trainer in Mumbai, India, conducting trainings on computers. I have been in this field for 8 years now. I love my job because it takes me to different people of different industries. I love meeting people. After participating in the Introduction Leaders Programme, I have exceeded my customers’ expectations most of the times. ![]() My immediate family is my parents and sisters. I love reading books on philosophy, positive thinking, and success stories of people who have made it big in professional life. We have all people of diverse communities living together in Mumbai. The cosmopolitan crowd is what I love most of my city. The Landmark Forum has impacted me deeply such that now I am able to accept and love all these different communities instead of keep cribbing about them. I am able to relate to people and makes it a new reality that indeed we are all ONE. I am a possibility of freedom, happiness
and contribution.
