Shaheer Gobran
 I am an Egyptian Orthodox Christian, a citizen of
Australia who work and live in Dubai with an International Architectural
Firm. Obviously many great cultures heritages of the world are part of
my daily life as I drove around in a brand new Mercedes Benz and enjoyed
the incredible recent growth of Dubai as mirrored by the glittering
skyscrapers.
Many people would not believe me when I told them that some years ago
life was not as pretty as it is. At that time my health was at rock
bottom, I already had a heart attack, open heart surgery and dangerously
high blood pressure. My marriage of 20 years ended, and a nightmarish
scenario ensued with a bitter court case complete with barristers and
solicitors. And on and on …
A relative was speaking to my parents about this amazing course that has
made a difference to people. Later when my father mentioned it to me I
was desperate to do it. I searched for it on the net and I called the
Landmark Education in Sydney, where I lived at that time.
"When is your next course?" I asked.
"In three weeks”, the voice on the phone said.
"Don't you have one tomorrow?" I asked disappointingly.... Anyway, I
registered, I was invited to be at a "Special Evening”. I came and
thought that evening was weird - with so many people just smiling and
having good time. Now I could see the truth that I was the weird one,
full with gloom and doom of my life!
That’s how my participation with
Landmark Education began. My amazing
journey of transformation started with that one call ... I did the
Landmark Forum, the
Advanced Course, the
Communication Course, the
Introduction Leaders Program...
Why did I say amazing? because of the results:
- I now enjoy great health, I lost 16 KG.
- I have turned around the bitter end of marriage into a separation
where we are both in communication and in partnership for our children.
- My kids have grown to be well adjusted and happy young people.
- I have finished a Masters degree in Urban Design with a Distinction.
- I have problems like most people I know, but now that does not stop me
to love people
and
- I love life.
In the last few months I have the privilege to be partner with Manish
Gvalani and the Landmark graduates community in Dubai where practically
everyday I share the new possibility that I create for myself, our
community and our future.
In the region where hundreds of years of conflicts and strife were the
norm, I am very excited to be part of the conversation that generates a
new possibility; that makes available breakthrough thinking!
If I could transform the conflicts of my life into a life so enjoyable -
I can not imagine what we as a community can accomplish together with
the technology of Landmark Education. I invite everyone to participate
