Self Discovery into an effective and peaceful life.
I have been living in Australia for 14 years. I am married and have a great son and a beautiful daughter. I have my own business and I work hard. My financial situation is pretty good. People look up to me as someone successful. However, I had always been tired, and for a long while I didn't experience any satisfaction in my life.
Last year, I went to the Introduction to the Landmark Forum. There, I met those Landmark Graduates. Their excitement and vitality inspired me. Out of their participation in the Landmark Forum, they went out and accomplished what they've always wanted to do but didn't have the courage to do it before. I was moved by these graduates. I told myself, I wanted to be like them, and I wanted to start a life filled with vitality and aliveness. With this inspiration, I did the three and half days of the Landmark Forum.
Before the Landmark Forum, I considered myself as someone who has done extensive reading, thinking, self-assessment and self-improvement. I thought I knew very well about myself. However, before I finished the first day of the Landmark Forum, I saw I didn't really know myself that well, why I was like this and not that way. Soon it got worse, toward the end of the first day, I suspected that I knew very little about myself.
With my excitement, I listened to those many new Landmark distinctions and I was empowered to give another look at myself. I was so excited about this, just like I was discovering a new continent. This Landmark Forum helped me to obtain a new and deep acceptance of all aspects of myself, as well as the source of my strength and weakness. I saw how incidents happened in the past in my life, and how it had affected me. How this unexamined life of mine was a big constraint to what could be.
The most exciting part was that we were coached and enabled in the Landmark Forum to live an extraordinary new life, the life we have always wanted for ourselves. It enabled us to produce breakthrough results that positively impact our confidence, productivity, relationship with others and our quality of life. The point is, I discovered so much more beyond the success that I already achieved.
I experienced an enormous peace after completing the Landmark Forum. All my worries disappeared in the thin air. More importantly, I saw that I can have unlimited energy, and that I can say how my life will go. Before the Landmark Forum I often experienced lots of pressure in my business and work. I had lots of concerns, worries and hesitations. I was chronically worried about what should I do if the worst situation happened.
After the Landmark Forum, I could distinguish what was real and what was the imaginary ones. Now, even if I have any difficulties, I handle them calmly, I have acquired the confidence that my action will resolve the issue. Worries only drain my time and energy. This enabled me to improve productivity, get relaxed, and become more poised and effective in communicating with my clients.
But what I love is the transformation of our family. It used to be that I always thought I was right, and others should just please follow my advice. If they didn't, I became unhappy or, sometimes, (if nothing else worked) I threw a tantrum. Well, that is all different now. The distinctions that I learned at the Landmark Forum has allowed me to have patience with my kids, encourage them to set goals and pursue what they set to achieve in a way that is acceptable to them. What they now have achieved is unimaginable and completely impossible before the Landmark Forum.
It has made a difference that we are fully self expressed with each other, love is something that is present. We have acquired a level of intimacy that is unprecedented and much cherished in our family.
