Landmark Education Thailand:
Real Heroes Making A Difference.

Tig - Patchara Sadtragoolwatana

When I first heard about the Landmark Forum, I thought it was really boring and sounded like many other courses and trainings that I had done before. But luckily, I did go to the Landmark Forum in Thailand despite my considerations, because something unexpected and really special happened to me.

Before the Landmark Forum, I thought I did everything for my mom because I loved her. During the Landmark Forum I heard other people shared about their lives and I learned many distinctions that I never considered before. In the midst of this, I suddenly recalled a forgotten incident with my mom when I drew a conclusion that it meant my mother did not love me.

In the Landmark Forum, I realized that I had many hidden considerations about my mother. That I thought she never listened to me, and that she loved my older brother more than me, etc. I got to see how all these opinions prevented any real love to take place. What I called love was more like a duty that I had to do, and I was not happy about it.

After the Landmark Forum, I spoke to my mother and told her about all these considerations and my attitudes that came with them. I asked for forgiveness, and probably for the first time ever; I acknowledged her as someone who gives me life, someone who has always been there for me, who loves me like no one other. It was a new beginning for me and my mother, our relationship has continued to blossom like I never could have imagined in the past.

It is maybe the most important event that ever happened in my life. Because as my relationship with my mom took on the positive process of transformation, so is my relationship to myself and to the world. Without seemingly putting any effort, my work as a nurse at the Inburi hospital in Singburi has become effortless and people appreciate me as a leader. Instead of the usual complaints and considerations, I see and create greatness in people. Life has never been the same for me after the Landmark Forum.

Whenever I come to Landmark Education’s Bangkok Center to take courses or participate as one of The People Who Assist, I see our Landmark community in Bangkok as the modern day heroes of those that were depicted in many of the ancient Thai folklores that have inspired us.

This is a community that is made up by individuals who are immensely courageous, who refuse to be the victims of their circumstances. These are people with extraordinary commitments who are unstoppable in their intentions to make a difference to themselves, to each other, and to life itself.

I thank you, Landmark Education, for giving me and my community such incredible new possibility.

If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for a passionate sense of what might be, for the eye, which ever young and ardent sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating as possibility! Søren Kierkegaard.
