Landmark Forum Gives Me Courage To Live My Dream

Moo - Pilan Dhammongkol

In January 2006, an Introduction Leader from Landmark Education came to our company’s office and through his presentation, shared with us the Landmark Forum. I was so amazed of what I heard. It was such a new way of thinking. I wondered to the point of disbelief, how such a methodology could exist and I did not know about it. I registered and then did the Landmark Forum in Bangkok.

As I looked back now, I realized that not only has the Landmark Forum delivered its promises to me, but that it did so beyond my expectations. Even though I am still called by the same name and probably do not look much different, who I am today has been deeply impacted for the better. I have produced many results and accomplishments that many people considered impossible to be done, both in my professional and personal life.

Before the Landmark Forum I was already a successful person, but I used to be very careful and was afraid to come straight to the point in my conversations. I was very polite and it used to bother me that I could not be direct. Well, today, I am still polite whenever the situation warrants it, but I have no more complaints about it, I can be direct and effective whenever I need to.

In fact, as I do business around the world, I have successfully put to practice what I learned from the Landmark Forum with many people in high positions. Anytime I needed to be straight, I earned great respect from them. I also satisfied my own self respect, which in turn gave me more opportunity to build and to choose who I really want to be, independent from my past. Just like what the Advanced Course promises. This was only one small example of how transformation has benefited me.

The breakthrough of having courage went on so much further in my life and allowed me to take on businesses and projects that no one knew to do, because it had never done before. Our company was the first company on earth that earned the certification of EU Flower (an ECO label) on silk, which was to certify that our products have the least impact on the environment in every part of the production cycle. After research and development, we came up with new products that met the high qualifications and received the honor, which no one else did, to create the purple cloth for the uniform of the Thailand’s Royal Officials.

My participation with Landmark Education has continued to give me so much that it is natural for me to give a little something back. The more I give, the more I receive. I assisted in our Bangkok Office and did the Landmark Education Introduction Leader Program. I have lots of respect for the Landmark Forum graduates, for the People Who Assist, for the Staff; together we create an environment of partnerships where humanity can rise to its best, which is really the dream of everyone. The difference here is that this is no dream; we are doing it with our open eyes, everyday.

If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for a passionate sense of what might be, for the eye, which ever young and ardent sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating as possibility! Søren Kierkegaard.
